Monitor

Experience Monitor gives IT teams real-time visibility into the reliability of Windows endpoints — scoring every device from 1 to 10 based on the critical events, errors, and warnings in its system and application logs, so problems surface before they become support tickets.

See where problems cluster and when they started, drill into the events behind them, and confirm that fixes worked. Run it standalone — or with Microsoft Intune.

What You Can Do

Fix problems before they reach the helpdesk

Experience Monitor turns the Windows event logs on every endpoint into one reliability picture — so you can find the devices in trouble, see when problems started, and verify improvement without waiting for users to complain.

A smiling IT professional looking away from a laptop in a bright modern office
  • See the reliability of the whole fleet at a glance, from the average score to the latest hour
  • Spot the endpoints with the most critical events, errors, and warnings before their users call
  • Check the event timeline against recent app, driver, or OS changes to see when a problem began
  • Drill into any device's event log and filter by description, log type, source, or event ID
  • Check each device's battery status and capacity in the CapaOne hardware inventory — part of the platform, no extra product needed
  • Run it from the cloud with no on-prem servers to maintain — a lightweight agent on each endpoint collects the data

Key Capabilities

Every signal you need to stay ahead of issues

Reliability Score

Every Windows endpoint gets a score from 1 to 10, placed in one of four ranges — Good, Fair, Poor, or Unacceptable — so the devices that need attention stand out first.

Critical, Error & Warning Events

System and application events from the Windows logs, classified by severity — so you see what actually failed, not what users remember.

Fleet View or Single Device

Analyze reliability across the whole organization, then open one endpoint to see the same insights for that device alone.

Average Score Over Time

One chart shows the average Reliability Score and the spread from lowest to highest — with up to three months of history in the console.

Event Timeline

Critical events, errors, and warnings counted per interval — so you can see whether a problem began after a recent change or has been building for weeks.

Most Affected Endpoints

Most Criticals, Most Errors, and Most Warnings rank the endpoints with the highest event counts, so you know where to start.

Searchable Event Log

Filter the event log behind every score by description, log type, source, and event ID — and see which event sources generate the most events.

Intune & Conditional Access

Standalone, or with Intune — your choice

Experience Monitor runs on its own. If you already run Intune, the two divide the work cleanly — Experience Monitor shows how reliably your Windows endpoints actually run, while Intune handles configuration and compliance baselines. The split is a choice, not a requirement.

See the Integration

Experience Monitor

  • Reliability Score for every Windows endpoint
  • Critical, error & warning event analysis
  • Event timeline & searchable event log
  • Up to three months of reliability history

Microsoft Intune

  • Configuration & compliance baselines
  • App, driver & OS deployment workflows
  • Entra ID group targeting
  • Conditional Access policies
Security & Compliance

Observability is no longer optional

NIS2, cyber insurance, and enterprise governance increasingly require documented evidence of endpoint health and change discipline. Experience Monitor keeps a running record of how stable your endpoints are.

  • Reduce operational risk by catching instability that can mask patching gaps.
  • Strengthen governance with one Reliability Score and one event classification across the fleet.
  • Keep up to three months of reliability history in the console to show how stability has moved.
  • Back up what you tell leadership, auditors, and cyber insurers with the score and the event record behind it.
Operational Benefits

Outcomes your team will notice

Fewer tickets

Fix recurring endpoint problems before they cascade into a wave of helpdesk calls.

Faster MTTR

Go from a low score to the exact events behind it — by severity, source, and event ID — in a few clicks.

Higher uptime

Find the least stable devices first and bring them back into the Good range.

Happier employees

Fewer crashes and fewer errors interrupting the workday.

Goals You Can Achieve

What "done" looks like

  • 01Steady, measurable reduction in critical events and errors across the managed endpoint estate.
  • 02A rising average Reliability Score, with more endpoints in the Good range and none left in Unacceptable.
  • 03Faster root-cause analysis: from an unstable device to the event source behind it in minutes.
  • 04Lower helpdesk ticket volume by addressing recurring endpoint issues proactively.
  • 05A reliability record you can bring to leadership reviews and change advisory board meetings.
Typical Rollout Pattern

Live in five steps

Most teams see their first reliability signals the same day they start.

01

Connect & Enroll

Deploy the lightweight agent and start collecting reliability signals. Most environments see data the same day.

02

Review Baselines

See where the fleet stands today: the average Reliability Score, how many endpoints sit in each range, and the events behind them.

03

Identify Patterns

Use the event timeline and the Most Criticals, Errors, and Warnings lists to find the devices and event sources that keep coming back.

04

Target & Remediate

Match issues against recent changes and route remediations to the affected devices — through your existing Entra ID groups or Intune workflows when you run them.

05

Track & Prove

Watch the average score in the weeks after a fix to confirm improvement, and show leadership the trend on demand.

What Data Does Experience Monitor Collect?

System and application events from the Windows event logs on each endpoint, classified as Critical, Error, or Warning. Experience Monitor turns them into a Reliability Score from 1 to 10 for every device. It covers Windows endpoints.

What Do the Reliability Score Ranges Mean?

A score of 8.5 or higher is Good, 7 up to 8.5 is Fair, 5 up to 7 is Poor, and below 5 is Unacceptable. A chart of the latest hour shows how many endpoints sit in each range, and selecting a range lists the devices in it.

Will This Impact Device Performance?

No. A lightweight agent reads the events each endpoint already writes to its Windows logs.

Does It Help After Big Changes Such as OS Updates?

Yes. The event timeline and the average-score chart show whether critical events and errors rose or fell after a change, so you can confirm an improvement or catch a regression early.

What Reporting Is Available for Leadership and CAB?

In the console: the average Reliability Score over time, the number of endpoints in each score range, the event timeline, and the endpoints with the most critical events, errors, and warnings. Up to three months of reliability history is visible.

How Quickly Can We Get Value?

Typically the same day: enroll endpoints and start monitoring.
